We have had our "old" platform for just over 10 years. During this time, both technology and pedagogy have evolved. We have many great ideas on how we want to develop Binogi to create the greatest possible benefit for teachers and for students' learning. Eventually, it became too difficult to add features to our old platform, so it made much more sense to rebuild everything from scratch. This way, we can now add more languages and features requested by teachers and students, faster and more easily. Users will still recognize the platform but enjoy a new and better user experience, leading to even more learning in a motivating and fun way.
What is new in the New Binogi?
Some of the new features we are introducing are:
Assignments - The ability to assign multiple lessons in a single assignment. You can now also copy an already created assignment, saving time for recurring tasks. You can even share assignments via codes or a QR code.
Direct integration with Google Classroom and Teams - Easier distribution of material and smoother communication. Connect Binogi directly to Google or Microsoft to reach students in your existing digital learning environments.
Increased language support - Greater flexibility when teaching multilingual students. Concepts can now be displayed in up to three languages (previously two). Subtitles can be shown in two languages simultaneously. The platform's navigation languages have also been expanded.
Visual aids - Working with keywords is reinforced through visual aids that illustrate the words. The images can be printed and used in the classroom.
Bookmark favorite lessons - Faster access to the material you use most often. Both teachers and students can now save their favorite videos.
Teach students at multiple schools - Increased flexibility for those teaching at several schools. You are no longer locked to one specific school on the platform.
Student progress is shown more clearly - Students can now see which videos they have watched at the chapter level, making it easier for them to get an overview and track their progression. They can also return to a completed assignment to see what they need to practice more.
Change avatar - Students can change their avatar to increase engagement through personalization.
Binogi Help - Strengthened support for students when taking quizzes. They can access concepts and videos without leaving the quiz.
